FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Planica 2023
Between February 21 and March 5, 2023, Planica will host the biggest sporting event in the history of Slovenia, the 43rd FIS Nordic World Ski Championships.
In the most beautiful venue in the history of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, athletes from all over the world will compete for medals in ski jumping, cross-country skiing and Nordic combined in front of more than 500 million TV viewers around the world – and of course in front of you!
In ski jumping, 7 sets of medals will be awarded, 3 in the men’s and 3 in the women’s competition, and medals will also be awarded in the mixed team competition. In cross-country skiing, we will see 12 final decisions, 6 in the men’s and 6 in the women’s competition, while the historical milestone will be the longest 50 and 30 kilometres races, starting in the Italian Tarvisio and ending in Planica.
We’ll see a novelty in Nordic-combined, as for the first time we will watch the mixed team competition, and in total 4 sets of medals will be awarded in this discipline, 3 in the men’s competition and 1 in the women’s competition.
